How to file your tax return using EBIR Forms?

Tax is an enforced contribution by the government, meaning we are obliged to pay to support its primary purpose which is to provide funds or property with which the government discharges its appropriate functions for the protection and general welfare of the its citizen. As an accountant myself, I have to study on the ways in paying our taxes especially now that everything is digital. Most businessmen uses EBIR Form to file their taxes. Here’s how:

1. Go the BIR Website: www.bir.gov.ph. In the middle part of the                         homepage you can see

then click the ebirforms to download.

  2. After downloading, extract the file and run the installer.

  3. Run the software, fill out the fields and save it. The next time you type in          your TIN the fields will automatically be filled.

4. Identify what tax you would pay and select the appropriate BIR Form.

    Click fill up.

5. You can now fill out the details. Since TRAIN Law is already effective, what      I do with my freelance clients is, I open  the BIR Form 1701Q (BIR gives us      an option between Regular Income Tax Rate or 8% Final Tax, for further        details click here) then fill in the fields.

6. Kindly fill out the information.

7. Validate for any errors. If there are any, follow the prompt.

8. If already validated, click Submit/Final Copy.

9. Click Print Preview in the upper left part of the page then print three (3)        copies.

10. After hours, you will receive a notification in your provided email                   confirming the submission. You will have to print it in 3 copies, then               attach to the 3 copies of your return.

11. Submit it to the designated bank approved by your RDO. They will stamp         it received. They will get the 2 copies, 1 each for them and for BIR then 1       is your copy. Make sure to keep it. It may be useful for you in case of BIR       audit.

That’s how it works. In case you have further questions or want to avail virtual assistance services, feel free to comment below or contact me in the social media accounts provided.
